Does Dr. Puin's Research Provide Evidence that the Qur'an has been Revised?

Dr. Gerd. R. Puin wrote an article under the title of “Observations on early Qur’an manuscripts in Sana”. This article concludes that:

1) In a number of manuscripts the letter alif is written in an incorrect way
2) There are some differences in the numbering of verses in some surah’s (chapters of the Qur’an)
3) In 2 or 3 sheets he has found the surahs are written in an alternative order to that of the standard Quran

Before I start to discuss his claims, it must be noted that Dr. Puin himself mentions that these discrepancies are minor and they would not probably lead to any sudden and significant advances in the filed of Qur’anic studies.

   Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the Old Testament:

The Qur’an mentions in Surah Al-Araf chapter 7 verse 157:

"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law and the Gospel".

1. MUHAMMAD (PBUH) PROPHESISED IN THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY:

Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18:

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and     he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

The Christians say that this prophecy refers to Jesus (pbuh) because Jesus (pbuh) was like Moses (pbuh). Moses   (pbuh) was a Jew, as well as Jesus (pbuh) was a Jew. Moses (pbuh) was a Prophet and Jesus (pbuh) was also a Prophet.

நபி (ஸல்)- பண்புகளும் நற்குணங்களும்

வார்த்தைகளால் வருணிக்க முடியாத வகையில் அழகிய பண்புகளையும், சிறந்த குணங்களையும் கொண்டவர்களாக நபி (ஸல்) திகழ்கிறார்கள். மக்களுடைய உள்ளங்களின் ஆழத்தில் அவர்களது கண்ணியம் வேரூன்றி இருந்தது. நபியவர்களை பாதுகாக்க மக்கள் தங்களையே அர்ப்பணித்துக் கொண்டார்கள். இதுபோன்றதொரு மரியாதையையும் மதிப்பையும் வேறு எவரிடமும் இவ்வுலகம் கண்டதில்லை. அவர்களோடு வாழ்ந்தவர்கள் அவர்களை ஆழமாக நேசித்தனர். தங்களின் கழுத்துகள் வெட்டப்படுவதைக் கூட பொருட்படுத்த மாட்டார்கள். ஆனால், நபியவர்களின் நகத்துக்கு ஓர் இடையூறு ஏற்படுவதை கூட பொறுத்துக் கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள். சிறந்த பண்புகளும் அழகிய குணங்களும் நபி (ஸல்) அவர்களிடம் இருந்ததுதான் தோழர்களின் இந்த நேசத்திற்குரிய காரணமாகும். நபியவர்களின் குணங்களையும் பண்புகளையும் முழுமையாக நம்மால் விவரிக்க முடியாது என்ற இயலாமையை ஏற்றுக் கொள்வதுடன் அடுத்து வரும் பக்கங்களில் அவற்றைப் பற்றிய அறிவிப்புகளை முடிந்தளவு சுருக்கமாகக் கூறுகிறோம்.

The Prophet [pbuh] combined both perfection of creation and perfection of manners.

This impression on people can be deduced by the bliss that overwhelmed their hearts and filled them with dignity. Men’s dignity, devotion and estimation of the Messenger of Allâh [pbuh] were unique and matchless. No other man in the whole world has been so honoured and beloved. Those who knew him well, were fascinated and enchanted by him. They were ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of saving a nail of his from hurt or injury. Being privileged by lots of prerogatives of perfection that no one else had been endowed with, his Companions found that he was peerless and so they loved him.

Here we list a brief summary of the versions about his beauty and perfection. To encompass all which is, addmittedly, beyond our power.
